Sister Projects 

MASTT2040 collaborates with a network of European sister projects working on manufacturing foresight, industrial data, digitalisation and circularity.
This community supports knowledge exchange, joint events and cross-promotion, strengthening communication and impact across Europe.
The collaboration peaked at the project Final Event in Brussels, highlighting the value of coordinated efforts in shaping the future of Manufacturing as a Service.

ACCURATE

ACCURATE develops advanced tools for improving accuracy, robustness and trust in AI-enabled manufacturing systems. The project focuses on improving process monitoring and decision-making through reliable data, advanced modelling and adaptive control. Its work supports the emergence of resilient, flexible and data-driven production environments.

Alicia

Alicia aims to boost circular manufacturing ecosystems by enabling high-quality, cost-effective circular strategies across value chains. The project develops tools, methods and decision-support systems to help companies integrate circularity into operations, business models and product design. Its outcomes support Europe’s shift toward sustainable and resource-efficient production.

Catena-X

Catena-X is creating the first open and collaborative data ecosystem for the European automotive industry. By enabling secure data exchange and interoperability, it aims to enhance transparency, sustainability and efficiency across the entire value chain. The initiative serves as a blueprint for future industrial data spaces in Europe.

CIRPASS

CIRPASS supports the development and implementation of the Digital Product Passport (DPP) across multiple value chains. The project builds harmonised frameworks and data architectures to improve traceability, circularity and sustainability of products. Its work contributes to the EU’s strategy for a more transparent and circular economy.

COGNIMAN

COGNIMAN advances cognitive manufacturing by combining smart automation, data-driven learning and adaptive control systems. The project focuses on improving production efficiency and reducing waste through intelligent self-optimising processes. Its vision supports factories that can autonomously analyse, predict and respond to operational needs.

Digital Factory Alliance

The DFA is a European industrial alliance promoting standards, best practices and shared methodologies for digital factories. It brings together industry, SMEs and research organisations to support the adoption of digital technologies at scale. Its activities accelerate collaboration, knowledge transfer and innovation in digital manufacturing.

Digital Supply Chain Hub

The Digital Supply Chain Hub strengthens the UK’s industrial competitiveness through digital innovation in supply chains. It provides testbeds, tools and data environments that help companies optimise operations and build resilient, connected and sustainable supply networks. The initiative supports both SMEs and large enterprises in digital transformation.

DMaaST

DMaaST focuses on enabling Manufacturing-as-a-Service through standardised interfaces, interoperable data flows and scalable digital platforms. The project supports decentralised production models where manufacturing capabilities can be accessed on demand. Its work contributes to more flexible, resilient and sustainable value networks.

EARASHI

EARASHI promotes human-centric manufacturing by developing technologies that support worker well-being, safety and performance. The project integrates ergonomics, AI and robotics to create collaborative workplaces where humans and machines complement each other. Its goal is to advance sustainable and socially responsible production systems.

Factory-X

Factory-X creates a sovereign data space for mechanical and plant engineering, enabling secure and interoperable industrial data exchange. The initiative supports manufacturers in adopting data-driven business models and improving collaboration across supply chains. It builds on Gaia-X principles to ensure trust and data sovereignty.

Greene 4.0

Greene 4.0 supports SMEs in adopting green and digital technologies to modernise industrial operations. The project promotes resource efficiency, reduced emissions and sustainable manufacturing practices. By fostering cross-border collaboration, it accelerates the ecological and digital transformation of Central European industry.

International Data Spaces

IDS defines a reference architecture and governance model for secure, sovereign data sharing across industries. The initiative enables organisations to retain control over their data while engaging in trusted digital ecosystems. Its frameworks underpin many emerging European data spaces, including those in manufacturing.

Laders4MaaS

Lasers4MaaS develops advanced laser-based manufacturing modules that can be offered as Manufacturing-as-a-Service. By integrating sensing, monitoring and interoperability features, the project supports flexible, customised and on-demand production. Its aim is to bring laser technologies into future MaaS ecosystems.

M4ESTRO

M4ESTRO delivers AI-driven tools for modelling, monitoring and optimising complex manufacturing processes. The project focuses on predictive quality, process efficiency and dynamic decision-making. Its solutions strengthen industrial resilience and support advanced data-driven production systems.

MAASive

MAASive works on modular and interoperable digital solutions enabling Manufacturing-as-a-Service in distributed production environments. The project explores secure data exchange, orchestration of manufacturing resources and the creation of dynamic value networks. Its outcomes support scalable and flexible MaaS adoption across Europe.

MaaSiveTwin

MaaSiveTwin develops digital twin technologies to support Manufacturing-as-a-Service ecosystems. It provides tools for simulating, validating and optimising distributed production processes before deployment. This accelerates decision-making, reduces risks and enhances the reliability of MaaS operations.

MaaSAI

MaaSAI integrates AI technologies into MaaS environments to improve process automation, resource allocation and operational intelligence. The project develops interoperable, data-driven services that support customised production on demand. Its aim is to increase efficiency and sustainability across manufacturing ecosystems.

Manufacturing-X

Manufacturing-X is a cross-industry initiative that implements the DataSpace Industrie 4.0, creating trustworthy data ecosystems based on open standards. It aims to enable secure, sovereign and interoperable data sharing across manufacturing value chains, strengthening resilience, sustainability and competitiveness in European industry.

MEDUSA

MEDUSA focuses on enabling highly customised, on-demand production through decentralised and modular manufacturing systems. The project develops digital tools and integrated workflows that make MaaS scalable and reliable. Its outcomes support more flexible supply chains and resilient industrial operations.

NARRATE

NARRATE investigates how data, narratives and human decision-making interact in manufacturing futures. Using foresight and modelling methods, the project supports companies and policymakers in understanding uncertainties and shaping long-term strategies. It contributes to more informed and agile industrial transformation pathways.

OPEN DEI

OPEN DEI supports the digital transformation of European industry by aligning large-scale pilot projects across manufacturing, energy, health and agrifood. It promotes common reference architectures, interoperability and data-sharing principles to accelerate the development of European data spaces. The initiative fosters cross-sector collaboration and provides tools and frameworks that help create scalable, trustworthy digital ecosystems.

Plooto

Plooto advances circular economy practices by developing tools and methodologies for re-manufacturing, recycling and material recovery. It helps industries reduce waste and optimise resource loops, supporting the broader transition toward a sustainable and climate-neutral Europe.

RAASCEMAN

RAASCEMAN focuses on resilient and autonomous supply chains supported by cognitive and AI-driven manufacturing systems. The project develops adaptive production solutions capable of responding to disruptions and changing environments. Its work strengthens industrial resilience and operational continuity.

RE4DY

RE4DY enables the adoption of data spaces in various industrial sectors by providing interoperable frameworks, governance models and reference implementations. The project supports organisations in becoming “data-ready,” ensuring that they can participate effectively in trusted digital ecosystems.

REED

REED promotes decentralised and demand-driven manufacturing through digital platforms and interoperable production technologies. The project focuses on enabling resilient supply chains where resources can be dynamically allocated. Its solutions help companies adopt future-ready MaaS models.

Tec4MaaSEs

Tec4MaaSEs develops integrated technological solutions to support Manufacturing-as-a-Service ecosystems. Its work includes modular production technologies, interoperable data frameworks and tools for dynamic resource allocation. The project aims to accelerate the industrial uptake of distributed and flexible manufacturing.

UniMaaS

UniMaaS aims to unify fragmented digital manufacturing services under a common framework for MaaS deployment. Up2Circ

Up2Circ helps SMEs adopt circular business models through tailored support, training and demonstration activities.
