Deliverable D4.2 presents the MASTT2040 recommendations for industrial data standardisation in manufacturing, developed in close collaboration with stakeholders.
The report translates the project’s analytical and foresight work into actionable guidance to support the future development and large-scale adoption of Manufacturing as a Service. The recommendations are clustered into five key areas:
- Trusted Data Spaces
- Interoperability
- Circular Economy
- Regulations
- Skills and Competences
In addition, the deliverable outlines specific actions related to the development of supporting standards and identifies funding and policy measures to encourage the uptake of standards across European industry, from SMEs to large enterprises.
Together, the recommendations contribute to a shared vision for MaaS towards 2040, addressing key European objectives such as resilient supply chains, sustainability, circularity and the evolving role of workers alongside digital and automated technologies.
