Deliverable D4.1 explores how standardisation enables Manufacturing as a Service to scale across Europe and support the EU’s twin transition.
The report analyses the role of data standards, interoperability and trust frameworks as the foundation of distributed, resilient and circular manufacturing ecosystems. Using a structured framework, it identifies key standardisation priorities and gaps across supply chains, circular economy models and human-centric production systems.
The findings provide a clear starting point for policymakers, standards bodies and industry stakeholders to align MaaS development with EU digital, industrial and sustainability objectives.
