The MASTT2040 project has published its Industry Action Plan, a strategic document aimed at accelerating the adoption of Manufacturing as a Service across Europe. In the context of the twin digital and green transitions, this plan identifies key industrial trends, outlines the transformative potential of MaaS, and proposes concrete actions to enhance European resilience, sustainability, and competitiveness by 2040.
Based on a combination of foresight studies, stakeholder engagement, and policy analysis, the Action Plan highlights priority areas for investment, innovation, and standardisation. It provides a roadmap for industry, policymakers, and researchers to collaborate on building a flexible, human-centric, and circular manufacturing ecosystem that supports the EU’s strategic autonomy and climate goals.
